Talent Intelligence and Acquisitions (TIA) – Intelligence Analyst Role
We are seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented entry-level Intelligence Analyst to join the TIA team. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a background in Business and Competitive Intelligence who thrive in fast-paced, insight-driven environments where research informs strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in both open-source and human intelligence gathering. Responsibilities include producing due diligence reports on lateral partner and group hires, as well as developing intelligence deliverables that support high-stakes talent acquisition strategies. This hybrid role is based in B+B’s New York office, with an in-office schedule from Tuesday through Thursday each week.
What You Will Do

Conduct open-source research to identify high-value individuals and firms within the legal industry

Engage in strategic outreach to collect human intelligence on law firm partners, adjacent organizations, and public entities

Monitor and analyze broader legal industry trends to guide research focus and client strategies

Assess market activity to help shape talent pipelines and hiring recommendations

Perform deep-dive intelligence gathering on prospective lateral partners and groups in the Am Law 200 and emerging boutique firms

Develop polished, client-facing intelligence reports and deliverables

Assist in preparing all intelligence materials for clients; participate in key recruitment milestone meetings; integrate feedback to refine deliverables

Track real-time talent movement within Am Law 200, mid-size, and boutique firms, becoming a subject matter expert (SME) on legal industry talent dynamics

Collaborate with senior team members on special projects and ad hoc research needs

Gain proficiency in platforms such as PitchBook and Firm Prospects to support short-list development and ongoing engagement insights

Serve as a power user of research tools; continuously test and recommend new tools to enhance competitive intelligence capabilities

Bachelor’s degree in Business and Competitive Intelligence or a related field

Priority to applications with prior talent acquisition or professional services experience which could be an internship

Proven ability to conduct thorough research and translate findings into actionable insights

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Intermediate data analysis competency

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills

Genuine curiosity about the legal industry and its talent landscape

Self-starter with the ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a lean team

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Willingness to learn platforms such as Zoho CRM, background search tools, and public data repositories

Openness to exploring creative applications of AI in research and intelligence reporting
Salary: $67,500.00
Work Location: 44 Wall Street
Tuesday through Thursday will be on site at 44 Wall Street. This is a hybrid position. Please do not apply if you are not interested in onsite work.
