Steven Cecere drives business development, marketing, and operations for the LexFusion team at Baretz+Brunelle. In his role, he helps to grow and scale member legal technology companies, curating strategic connections between those companies and law firms, corporate legal departments, and legal operations leaders. He works closely with go-to-market teams at member firms, advising on growth strategies, positioning, and market entry.
Before joining the legal technology and innovation space, Steven practiced as a real estate associate at Paul Hastings, where he represented developers, banks, and hospitality clients in acquisitions, complex financings, and joint ventures. He also held legal and operational roles at Coheso and Grand Central Partnership, giving him insight into the needs of corporate legal departments and commercial entities.
Steven holds a J.D., cum laude, from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was a fellow of the Mattone Family Real Estate Institute and recipient of numerous honors, including the Beatrice Levine Commencement Award. He remains actively engaged in the St. John’s Law alumni network, supporting initiatives that foster community and mentorship.
He earned his B.S. in finance from the University of Delaware. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, snowboarding, traveling, cooking, and sharing thought pieces on LinkedIn about his professional experiences and perspectives on the evolving legal industry.
