Senior Associate

Baretz+Brunelle is a growth advisory firm to elite businesses in the legal industry. This mid-level position entails managing client relationships on every level, including coordinating the development and execution of client strategy, conducting media outreach, spearheading research assignments, and managing teams and budgets. Candidates must possess strong leadership skills and superior written and verbal communication skills and take the lead in managing day-to-day operations on projects and clients. They should be creative, show good judgment, and be team players. Familiarity with social media and generative AI is required. Ideally, candidates should have interest in the inner workings of law firms and the greater legal economy.

About the Position
This position will help drive all core client activity, including staying on top of legal and business news and trends, conducting media outreach, securing speaking opportunities, identifying and developing award nominations, facilitating billing and preparing end-of-month and end-of-year reports. This position will also assist the partners in marketing B+B and its staff. Candidates must possess superior written and verbal communication skills, familiarity with generative AI and its application, and a solid work ethic. They should be curious and creative, demonstrate good judgment, and collaborate well with others. Interest and familiarity with social and new media also are required. 

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; major in business, communications, marketing, economics, political science or related field preferred; and 3-5 years’ experience in public relations with exposure to professional services.

Responsibilities

  • Play an active role in workflows and milestones of assigned client base producing premium outputs across desired services with meaningful ROI

  • Work collaboratively with B+B team, clients, and other outside resources; approach activities with empathy and an educational lens to create partnership and successful outcomes

  • Research industry trends and developments to develop proactive opportunities for clients; surface innovative strategies to continue to drive account stickiness

  • Develop PR plans, competitive analyses, press releases, media lists, and a variety of media pitches

  • Conduct proactive, aggressive media relations on behalf of clients

  • Social media copywriting

  • Lead certain marketing and communications initiatives with minimal oversight

  • Prepare project summaries and monthly reports

  • Contribute to and participate in new business development opportunities

  • Participate in B+B marketing activities

NY Office Hybrid Schedule

B+B maintains a hybrid work schedule with flexibility for remote work on Mondays and Fridays. Tuesday through Thursday will be on site at 44 Wall Street.
