Paul is an evangelist for innovation in the legal industry, helping law firms and legal departments find the mix of people, process, and technology that allows them to perform most effectively. Paul co-founded LexFusion, the premiere legal tech accelerator and advisor to innovation-minded law firms and corporate legal departments, where he served as chief client officer of LexFusion before its 2025 acquisition by Baretz+Brunelle.
At LexFusion—and now at B+B—Paul helped law firms and corporate law departments make sense of the proliferation of legal technology and service providers in the market. His strategic counsel helps clients translate the vast and increasing innovation in the industry into improved legal outcomes and the achievement of growth goals.
Before co-founding LexFusion, Paul served as the director of legal solutions at Pangea3, a pioneering legal process outsourcing firm owned by Thomson Reuters Legal Managed Services, the most experienced provider of legal outsourcing solutions to the Am Law 200 and Fortune 1000. He later became a law executive with EY Law, where he advised law firm and corporate clients on how to best take advantage of EY Law’s 3,500 legal professionals across 80 countries on transaction, regulatory, and litigation matters.
Paul practiced law in Chicago for nearly a decade before joining Pangea3. He began his career as an employment lawyer at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP, and also practiced at Pretzel & Stouffer, Chartered and Jackson Lewis P.C. He received a B.A., magna cum laude, in three years from Georgetown University and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School.
