A senior managing director in Baretz+Brunelle’s Chicago office, Laura leads teams that draw on her vast experience at international professional services firms in designing and executing strategic campaigns encompassing executive communications, media relations, reputation management, thought leadership development, internal communications and social media.
Over a two-decade career focused on public and corporate communications, Laura has represented multiple international law firms, powerhouse consulting firms, executive search firms and a global information service provider.
Prior to joining Baretz+Brunelle, Laura was the head of business marketing communications at Deloitte Consulting LLP, leading a team that aggressively promoted the brand and served the communications needs of a constantly evolving business. She also led PR and communications for Wolters Kluwer’s global tax and accounting division as well as public relations programming at Discover Financial Services’ consumer card issuing and payments businesses. Laura began her career at two global PR firms, serving professional services clients including O’Melveny & Myers, Latham & Watkins, Allen & Overy, Kenyon & Kenyon, EY and Deloitte. She is a founding member of the Chicago chapter of Chief, a network built to drive more women into positions of power across industries and effect change from the top down. Laura is a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University.
