A partner with Baretz+Brunelle, Laura leads teams in designing and executing strategic campaigns encompassing media relations, reputation management, thought leadership, executive and internal communications, and digital marketing. She helps clients align their marketing and communications efforts with business goals to elevate visibility, strengthen market positioning, attract talent, and drive growth.

Over a two-decade career focused on public and corporate communications, Laura has represented multiple international law firms, powerhouse consulting firms, executive search firms, and a global information service provider. Known as a trusted partner, she is the first call clients make—whether they’re navigating a challenge, solving a complex problem, or pursuing bold growth.

Before joining Baretz+Brunelle, Laura was the head of business marketing communications at Deloitte Consulting LLP, leading a team that aggressively promoted the brand and served the communications needs of a constantly evolving business. She also led PR and internal communications for Wolters Kluwer’s global tax and accounting division as well as public relations programming at Discover Financial Services’ consumer card issuing and payments businesses. Laura began her career at two global PR firms, serving professional services clients including O’Melveny & Myers, Latham & Watkins, Allen & Overy, Kenyon & Kenyon, EY, and Deloitte. She is a founding member of the Chicago chapter of Chief, a network built to drive more women into positions of power across industries and effect change from the top down. Laura is a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University.
