Casey co-founded LexFusion, the premiere legal tech accelerator and advisor to innovation-minded law firms and corporate legal departments, where he served as chief strategy officer before its 2025 acquisition by Baretz+Brunelle.
Casey has spent his career focused on the enhancement of legal services through process, technology, and innovation. He is a highly sought-after consultant and speaker for audiences who value his penetrating insights into the modern business of law, which he knows from the inside out. Before he co-founded LexFusion, Casey served as the director of legal project management at Baker McKenzie LLP, where he helped to build the world’s largest legal project management team inside the world’s largest law firm. He also established the legal operations function within a Fortune 5 company, and founded Procertas, which provided technology training to personnel in legal services and other sectors.
As a legal tech founder who spent a decade in the trenches, Casey is also keenly aware of the need for a digital transformation in legal services. He began his legal career as an associate at Holland & Knight LLP and later practiced as corporate counsel with Kia Motors America. He is a prolific speaker and author whose works include Unless You Ask, a guide to data-driven dialogue for law departments and law firms published by the Association of Corporate Counsel.
Casey received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola Marymount University and his J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law.
