Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; major in business, communications, data analytics, economics, finance, political science, or related field preferred. Law firm or legal industry experience preferred.

About the Position
This position entails learning and understanding the business of law, servicing clients on every level, and as a generalist working across our portfolio of services, including our reputation, talent, and leadership vector client teams, on a multi-disciplinary basis. As an Associate at B+B, one’s opportunities will be wide and varied, including, for illustration:

  • coordinating the development of client strategy
  • conducting research across the portfolio of services
  • providing data and analysis
  • researching current events
  • conducting media outreach and monitoring
  • tracking legal industry developments pertinent to our clients’ businesses, and
  • related research and writing needs.

Required Skills
Excellent verbal, analytical, and written communication skills are essential as this position requires corresponding and speaking with senior client executives and leaders, legal market experts, allied legal industry partners, and high-profile national and international reporters and editors. Written work product may include drafting pitches, articles, briefings, strategic plans, marketing-related materials, and other digital content. Associates also must manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, have strong critical thinking, decision-making, problem-solving, and research skills with an acumen for and familiarity with evolving workplace and AI technologies. Strong familiarity with the full Microsoft Office 365 suite (including Excel and PowerPoint), social media, graphic design, or automation software is a plus. They should be flexible and able to function independently and as part of a team. The associate should have excellent organization skills and have project management/database management experience. Intellectual curiosity, creativity, initiative, good judgment, and the ability to express thoughts clearly and simply are also essential for success.

Associates must take ownership of projects, becoming the point person for all aspects of an engagement from start to finish. Responsibilities:

  • Perform issue research on a variety of legal, legislative, financial, industry topics and projects
  • Explain analysis to internal parties
  • Discuss and defend decisions eloquently to internal teams
  • Take a proactive approach to client service by finding and developing strategic and profile
  • development opportunities as well as developing creative solutions to client challenges
  • Conduct analytical investigation on assigned topics and industry developments
  • Create and maintain databases for new business generation
  • Monitor daily global, national, and industry news, and be well-versed in current events
  • Prepare press releases, bylined articles, and a variety of media pitches
  • Develop lists of targeted media outlets and reporters to contact on behalf of clients
  • Pitch stories to and develop relationships with targeted media outlets and reporters
  • Plan and host meetings for clients and third-parties, including the media
  • Prepare annual reports and write proposals for various projects for clients and for the firm
  • Learn and using project management tools
  • Support fundamental day-to-day aspects of B+B’s digital team including tagging, tracking, and
  • reporting for client measurement
  • Work with the B+B team to promote the firm
  • Provide senior team members with day-to-day support
  • Perform other administrative responsibilities as assigned
